Meraki AI Features
Cisco have been integrating machine learning and AI into their products where it makes sense for some time now. There are many AI features integrated in Meraki products that assist the network operator, improve network performance and reduce downtime. In this blog, we'll discuss some of these features.

Network Assurance
The Meraki cloud dashboard is continuously scanning event logs, looking for abnormal behaviour and error messages to determine the network health.
This is reported as a simple score, allowing you to quickly see whether any networks require attention. A network operator can quickly drill down to a network device or client and view relevant events and metrics to determine the cause of bad performance.

Intelligent packet capture can trigger automatic collection of network traffic during events, saving you time when troubleshooting. Root-cause analysis can show not only that an error is present on the network but likely causes and steps to resolve the issue.

Cisco AI-RRM
Cisco have created models of a well-performing wireless network using the large quantities of data from operational networks. Anonymised network statistics gathered from a network can be used to create a virtual model which can then be used to test possible changes.

When the best set of changes has been determined, this can then be applied to the network during an off-peak window to ensure minimal client impact. AI-RRM has been found to outperform Cisco’s older model in reducing interference and improving client performance

Cisco AI assistant
Cisco now have an AI assistant integrated into the dashboard, trained on Cisco documentation and the outcomes of multiple support cases:

AI Assistant can quickly find the most suitable documentation, and provide recommendations relevant to your network, allowing the network team to concentrate on managing the network instead of searching for the correct information.

Cisco Meraki AI Features: Summary
In this blog, we’ve looked at how Cisco Meraki uses AI to make life easier for the network team and improve overall performance.
AI in Meraki products helps to reduce interference, optimise settings automatically, and apply changes during off-peak times to minimise disruption. Troubleshooting is faster with intelligent packet capture and root-cause analysis, and the AI Assistant provides instant answers, so you spend less time searching for documentation.
We can help you understand how Cisco's AI-driven tools fit into your network strategy and design the right solution for your needs. As a Cisco partner, we have the experience and training to ensure your network runs smarter and more efficiently.
